As an animal communicator my joy comes from being able to facilitate a deeper level of connection and understanding between people and their animal companions. I have seen where this process brings about growth and renewal for all involved.
My academic background as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (M.S.W. 2003, M.S. Criminal Justice, 2001, B.S. Political Science) has given me the skills to coach people both in regard to their relationships with animals and in other areas of their lives.
I have found that the animals bring perspectives that often help us as humans to achieve greater awareness and resolution of personal blocks in areas ranging from decision making to death and dying, or the "transition" process. My work with both people and their animal companions has been greatly enhanced by my counseling background. Since 1998 I have worked with children and adults in a variety of settings, including trauma and abuse. I have incorporated these skills to be able to provide coaching services for people. In coaching, we can incorporate the animals' viewpoints for a variety of reasons, including clarification of issues for the purpose of personal goal achievement. Through listening to and being respectful of what the animals have to say, I have discovered that they provide great insight into ways in which humans can come into better alignment with our true selves. By request, I can also incorporate Reiki and shamanic techniques into my work with animals.
I am so grateful to my animal family, as they have taught me an enormous amount on this ongoing beautiful journey throughout their world. I share my life with two very special animal companions, Meesha, a female dog and TirNa, a female cat..
